Prevalence of metabolic syndrome has increased promptly in India as well as world-wide since last couple of decades. Materials and Methods - In present case study, Ayurveda formulation i.e. Tablet M-LIV, Phalatrikadi kwatha and M-Sarpagandha mishran vati were given to a diagnosed patient of obesity, diabetes mellitus type II, hypertension with dyslipidemia i.e. metabolic syndrome for around seven months (232 days). Along with oral medication, dietary and lifestyle modification including regular physical activity were also suggested to the patient. Physical and laboratory parameters were assessed before initiation and during the treatment in third month & after six months of treatment. Results - Apparent improvement in objective parameters like waist circumference (48 to 43 inches), body weight (104 to 95.5 kg ), blood pressure, Body Mass Index (36.8 to 33.7 kg/m2) were reported. Significant reduction in FBS (140 to 90.75 mg/dL), PPBS (201 to 147.03 mg/dL) serum cholesterol (266 to 184.10 mg/dL) and serum triglycerides (167 to148 mg/dL) were also found.
