H.S.K. AGARWAL, R.D. SHARMA, K.N. UDUPA.

Abstract
Majority of cases resenting with the complaint of impotency are found to be psychogenic. Such thirtynine cases within the age range of 20-35 years were selected to assess the efficacy of yogic practices. Out of these patients, twentyseven cases reported partial erection of penis whereas twelve cases had total loss of erection. Complete psychological and neuropsychological evaluation along with subjective assessment was made on the basis of standard parameters. Three weeks schedule was followed for training and practices were introduced in phased manner. Assessment of relief was made after 3 months with varied follow up. Out of 27 patients having partial erection 74.08 percent cases reported complete relief whereas in the other group, having complete loss of erection, only 33.33 percent cure rate could be noticed.
